Netflix Chooses Spot-On Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a adored, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.

The platform declared Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.

The new cast member joins a number of new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, such as leader Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.

Though the role is a major member of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
