This England defender has excel for Crystal Palace despite a summer transfer to Anfield falling through. With his contract due to run out in the summer, January is the club's final opportunity to secure a fee for their captain. Numerous elite sides, including Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, reportedly be interested. However, a January exit remains difficult, especially given the manager's reliance on the defender.

Brennan Johnson

This Welsh forward has had starting opportunities hard to come by at Tottenham this campaign. The highly-touted Netherlands teenage midfielder has earned parallels to Kevin De Bruyne for his playing style. Following impressing at the U19 Euros, he has become a regular in the AZ Alkmaar side. The teenager is widely expected to make a big-money move this month. Newcastle reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing stiff competition from the Spanish champions for a signing valued at around twenty-two million pounds.
